Dan and Laura Millward were born and raised in Metro Detroit, were blessed with three children and now 15 grandchildren. Together they built one of the largest retail floor covering companies in the Midwest (1978-1992). Sensing a call for life change, sold their companies and moved to Traverse City in 1992, Dan became a fishing river guide and charter captain (1992-1994—life long dream), until the Lord called them into vocational ministry as the Director of Youth for Christ (1994-1999). Attended seminary at RTS, planted Redeemer PCA—Traverse City (2004-2014), took a call 2014 to plant Redeemer PCA Detroit, 2014-present, but since 2021 transitioned to Director of The Detroit Project, with five churches now underway and several more on the horizon. Dan is currently working on a new model for church planting that would involve a relentless outreach and footprint/storefront in the community of each plant.
